Give each fragrance its own day

A tester set helps you compare perfumes without choosing a full bottle from its name alone. Resist the temptation to wear every sample at once. Try one scent during a normal day, then another on a different day. This makes your impressions easier to separate and gives you a clearer idea of what you actually enjoy wearing.

Make a short comparison note

Write down the fragrance name, the setting and your first impression. Later, add a few words about the scent as it settles: fresh, woody, sweet, spicy or soft. You do not need specialist vocabulary. Also note whether you wanted to wear it again. Your own comfort and enjoyment are more useful than trying to match someone else’s ranking.

Keep the comparison fair

Use a similarly small application for each sample and avoid layering it with another perfume during the comparison. A strongly scented product can make a fragrance harder to assess. Try your favourites again before deciding. Wear time and how noticeable a scent feels can vary with the formula, application and conditions, so a single test is not a promise of identical performance every day.

Build your Elence Discovery Set

Our Discovery Set lets you select eight different 1 ml fragrances from the available selection. Mix familiar scent families with one or two styles you have not tried before. You might compare a woody-aromatic direction such as Urban Blue with other available options for daily or evening use. Review the current selection and price on the tester page, then use the samples at your own pace before choosing a larger bottle.
